Surf
Waialua is at the western end of the so-called "Miracle 7 Mile Beach".
Bali-Ho has 3 surf breaks in front from left to right:

This stretch of beach on the north shore of Oahu, is known world - wide for the enormous but very tubular waves which arise from swells crossing the Paciific from the north west. These swells arise from autumn through spring and especially during the winter months. The eastern end of the Miracle 11 is sunset beach and in between are famous sites such as The Bonzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay. Haleiwa has the last of the huge western breaks.
Waialua, just west of Haleiwa has 4 of it's own breaks, though smaller than the Miracle 11. Waialua break's are considered by locals to be consistent and very fast left tubes. Even the most gentle waves of Wakikiki arise on a coral formation. The breaks at Waikiki Beach, Barber's Point State Beach Park ( Nr Kapolei ) and at Haleiwa Alii Park ( just after the rainbow bridge in Haleiwa), are the 3 of the best sites for novice surfers to have a go on the island."
